Come Unto Jesus
We don't always get the answers we want to our prayers. Sometimes desired miracles seem like they are a long time coming. Answers come in the Lord's time. Remember, we worship a fourth watch God. When the storm is raging, and we are threatened with destruction, after we have toiled and strained, then He comes and works His miracles. Then He calms the sea. Then He bids us to have faith and walk to Him.
Sometimes we look at examples of miracles in the scriptures, miracles of healing for ourselves and our loved ones, or the promise of children, or even people being risen from the dead, and we wonder "Why hasn't my miracle happened? Why did they get what they wanted? Why not me?" But remember, they suffered for a long time before they got their miracles. The woman with the issue of blood suffered 12 years. The man born blind suffered his whole life. Lazarus and the the daughter of Jairus suffered sickness unto death. They waited a long time for their miracles. When all hope was lost, when there was nowhere else to turn, they turned to Jesus, and were healed.
Remember what Jesus said to us "Come all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Come unto Jesus, ye heavy laden,
Careworn and fainting, by sin oppressed.
He’ll safely guide you unto that haven
Where all who trust him may rest.
Come unto Jesus; He’ll ever heed you,
Though in the darkness you’ve gone astray.
His love will find you and gently lead you
From darkest night into day.
Come unto Jesus; He’ll surely hear you,
If you in meekness plead for his love.
Oh, know you not that angels are near you
From brightest mansions above?
Come unto Jesus from ev’ry nation,
From ev’ry land and isle of the sea.
Unto the high and lowly in station,
Ever he calls, “Come to me.”Come Unto Jesus | Madilyn Paige
