Let's talk about music for a moment. There is something about music that touches the souls of men in a way nothing else can. Have you ever watched a movie with the volume muted? Try it. Action scenes lose their edge, scary scenes lose their horror, intimate scenes lose their love. Music is a key that unlocks emotion, and vise versa. Music can change the way we feel, and we express our feelings through music, from the deepest longing to the lightest fun. It seems to me that music is the language of the soul. Music and singing are mentioned many times in the scriptures. The Lord Himself said "My soul delighteth in the song the the heart." For me, music unlocks emotion. It lets me share with others feelings that I can't express any other way. I don't write my own music. I don't know how.
