A Prayer

One of the YouTubers I loosely follow recently found out that he has cancer. I usually watch his science channel, but he also has a channel with his brother in a video diary format. They each post a video one day a week, and basically carry on a conversation with each other. Today the brother posted his video, and spoke about the cancer diagnosis. One thing he said really struck me. He said "I pray that we may be justified in our hope and unalone in our sorrow."    Oh but we are! We are! Through the atonement of Jesus Christ we are! Alma 7:12 teaches this prayer exactly: " And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities."  We are justified in our hope. Faithful is Fearless

D&C 6:34, 36 says "Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail...Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not."  In other words, bring it on. I play an online role play computer game with my siblings, in which I have no fear. Nothing can touch me. I trust in my armor, my level, my skills, my team. In life I can have no fear, for I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. With the armor of God, nothing can touch me. Think of all the prophets. Of Nephi, Abinadi, Joseph Smith, Helaman and his little army. They had no fear, because the knew in whom they trusted. In stake conference a few weeks ago, one of the speakers told a story of an American pilot who flew across the Bering Strait from Alaska to bring food and supplies to little village in Siberia during the Cold War.
