The night is dark,

The stars are dim,

A fog lies thick.

I cannot see.

The jeering crowd,

The blinding sun,

The pulsing noise.

I cannot see.

The room is black,

I lie afraid,

The shadows press.

I cannot see.

The future's dark

As panic spreads,

I feel their fear.

I cannot see.

I feel his pain,

He feels alone.

The scars I have,

The dark within,
