The Most Beautiful Song

What is the most beautiful song you've heard?

One YouTube video claims to have it.  The song is a lullaby in an animated movie titled "Song of the Sea".  Do go listen to it, it is a lovely song.

But is it the most beautiful?  "Only Hope" by Mandy Moore is also a lovely song, especially when Katie dances to it.

But I still don't think it's the most beautiful.  When I try to think of the most beautiful song I know, I think of "I Feel My Savior's Love".  I think of "How Great Thou Art" and "I Stand All Amazed".

What makes each of these songs beautiful?  To me, "Song of the Sea" is about being with the people you love in a beautiful, peaceful paradise.  "Only Hope" is about overcoming hardship with the help of a close friend.  They both have pleasing, catchy melodies that soothe my soul.

"I Stand All Amazed" and "How Great Thou Art"  are two of my favorite hymns because of the message.  They speak of the Savior, and His love for me, and I feel overwhelming gratitude for His sacrifice every time I sing them.

"I Feel my Savior's Love" has always been my favorite children's hymn.  I would sing it to myself when I couldn't sleep, or when I was feeling anxious or lonely.  I still do.  When I sing or hear it, I do feel my Savior's love.  My heart is filled with peace.  His love is freely given.

The Things That Really Matter

I had a dream last night. Two factions of people were fighting, I don't remember what over. All I know is that it was trivial. A group from one faction stood on a hill, shooting down onto a city, mostly aiming for what I believe was a church. I was with this group, though I was very reluctant to shoot the devices. My King, My Light, My Life, and My Hope

 Merry Christmas!  The last paragraph of The Living Christ states "He is the great King Immanuel...He is the light, the life and the hope of the world."  I want to share with you three pictures that illustrate my feelings of how Christ is my King, my Light, my Life, and my Hope.    My King:                  I love this image as a ruler and a protector. Surely Jesus Removes All Shame From the Broken

I was reading Elder Karl D Hirst's talk "God's Favourite" from October General Conference, and I was highlighting passages and writing down thoughts, not casually, but just moving along through the talk, when I read a sentence that stopped me in my tracks: "Surely Jesus removes all shame from the broken." Have you ever felt broken? Like your brain or your body or your spirit just don't work the way they are supposed to? I have. And while I have never been personally told that I am broken or unworthy or less than because of my struggles, I know people with similar struggles have been told that.
